Professional Experiences

Internship photo

Internship

June - July 2023 | Luc Durand Public Works

5-week internship carried out as part of my studies.
I discovered the public works sector with two radically different sites: the first was a pipeline installation site to replace existing ones. The second site involved the installation of curbs, with all the necessary preparation phase.
During this internship, I worked with the workers on the site, observing their actions when I couldn't perform them myself.

Summer Job - General Employee

August 2022 | Intermarché La Guérinière

Assigned to the fruits and vegetables department, I set up the department in the morning and ensured restocking during the day.
This first job allowed me to discover the inner workings of a supermarket, with its various teams and missions. I learned to be as efficient as possible in stocking my department before opening and during peak hours, it also gave me the experience of getting up at 5 a.m. to go to work.

Observation Internship

November 2019 | SARL Moreno et Fils

Three-day internship carried out during my third year, during which I had my first contact with the construction industry.
I first discovered the plumber-heating engineer profession during the renovation of a heating circuit. I was trained in copper pipe welding using oxy-acetylene.
I then discovered the electrician profession, through various common operations.
Finally, I accompanied Mr. Moreno (the company's manager) on his site visits to discover his daily tasks.

Skills and Interests

Computer Science

I am proficient in computer science, particularly in the Office suite and the online tool Canva for visual creations. I can also troubleshoot basic computer issues.

Reading

I regularly read novels, comics, and short stories.

Video Editing

I occasionally create videos, mostly as part of my studies, and I do the editing myself using DaVinci Resolve software. (For example, the Erasmus project presentation video below was edited by me)

Home Automation

My interest in gadgets and technology led me to explore home automation. To implement this at my home, I installed Home Assistant, an open-source software that allows me to integrate all devices, regardless of their brand or communication protocol, on a single interface.

Theatre

A keen theatre enthusiast, I was a subscriber to the Le Quai Theatre in Angers for several years, a contemporary art theatre. I have attended reinterpretations of classics and original creations.

3D Design and Printing

I am the proud owner of a 3D printer that allows me to print various objects, often found online. However, when I can't find what I need there, or to meet a very specific need, I create my own objects using Fusion 360 software.

Programming

I was introduced to various programming languages in high school, and I continue to use them today: for example, this website was entirely coded by me. I also continue to use Python, on which I worked extensively in high school.

Languages

English: B2+ level (last TOEIC mock score: 925)
German: A2 level
Spanish: basic knowledge

Sports

I regularly cycle and practiced swimming for 7 years.
Since 2020, I have been practicing water skiing (mono ski, ski figure, wakeboard).

Projects and Commitments

Erasmus+ Project

2019-2022

I participated in a 3-year project organized by my high school with the support of the European Union, in collaboration with two other European high schools: IV Liceum in Toruń (Poland) and St-Johannis Schule in Bremen (Germany). During four meetings (2 in Poland, 1 in Germany, and 1 in France), we worked with our counterparts on the theme "Youth and Economy" through presentations, posters, and videos.
We also explored our host countries, discovered their culture, and spent good times with other young Europeans.

Lycée Association for Panzi (Alypa)

2021-2022

During my final year of high school, I joined the Alypa association at the Mongazon Institution (Angers, France). This association aimed to raise funds for the Panzi Hospital in the Democratic Republic of Congo, founded by Dr. Mukwege, Nobel Peace Prize laureate 2018, to help women victims of sexual violence.
I was appointed communication manager, which involved creating posters to promote the association's events, such as a charity concert or a talent contest. I also managed the association's Instagram account (@alypa.mgz), promoting our activities through posts and stories.
I was involved in the annual sale of school-branded sweatshirts, participating in the ordering and distribution. I played a role in organizing a talent contest for high school students, which included talent scouting, event organization, audience management (350 people), jury setup, and audience voting to determine the winners.
Through my involvement in Alypa, I had the opportunity to develop my communication and organizational skills while contributing to an important cause.

During events, I covered them on social media (primarily stories).

Class Representative

During the 9th, 10th, and 11th grades (2018 - 2021)

I was elected class representative for three consecutive years, from the 9th to the 11th grade.
In the 9th grade, our project was to renovate the school's bike garage, and for that, we defined the needs, looked for solutions to store scooters, and then participated in a project competition organized by Maine-et-Loire. We won this competition and received a grant for the work to be carried out.

Beaucouzé Children's Council / Youth Council (CME / CMJ)

2012 - 2018

In the town where I lived during my childhood, I was able to participate in the Children's Municipal Council (CE2 - CM2), then in the Youth Municipal Council (6th - 8th grade).
These two bodies allowed me to carry out several projects within the town, such as a food drive for the Food Bank, organizing a handicapped sports day, or installing prevention signs in various key locations in the city.
With the CMJ, we had more responsibilities and project opportunities, so we launched the construction of a new skatepark, for which we applied for a grant from the CAF, which we obtained. We also organized its inauguration.
The CMJ also gave me the opportunity to interview Gaël Faye during his visit to the town for a concert. This was covered by the local press, and the article is available here (in french).
